Leland LaBarre 4 months agoI am sad this is only linked to the Long Beach location. Because everyone needs to hear this story. I had a disagreement with Crunch's Standard Terms recently. Had nothing to do with the gym itself as Crunch is the best gym for real athletes and health conscious people there is. Every location, everything works, staff is super nice, etc etc, if you go - you know! But some silly legal technicality. And legally I had no ground to stand on. But I reached out to corporate headquarters to review my situation. It was really a point of integrity, not really a money issue. And unlike 24 hour fitness who have an undisclosed $100/ year fee on top of their membership fees, Crunch is run by people with character. They resolved my issue. I'm proud to be a member and fully endorse anyone looking for a gym, to check out Crunch. Great place, great people. No, I do not work for them, I just believe if I’m going to blast companies for bad behavior, I should use the same megaphone when a company does something the right way.
Tracey Buckner a month agoCrunch Fitness is great! I really enjoy coming here. Everyone is very professional and nice, and I always get a good workout in. It’s in and out, easy and convenient. I give them 5 stars! I especially want to recognize the manager, Trent, for being very caring toward the customers. Also, Jocelyn at the front door was amazing — very welcoming and friendly. Great customer service all around!
Corey Wright a month agoI was with L.A. Fitness and joined Crunch because it was more available nationally. This crunch is efficient. While the staff is friendly and gym goers respect the space, coming to this gym is a get in and get out. If you can even find a parking space in the extremely poorly designed parking lot. Even the garage is a mess because the gym shares with a shopping center. The urban planning is all wrong for the amount of people. On the bright side, you can use parking time as an opportunity to get so frustrated that you add 20% to each exercise to work off the rage. The gym itself is clean and machines are functioning, but the gym is also very small and doesn’t have multiple machines. In other words, waiting is often an issue. There are a few squat racks though. In addition to not having multiple machine, the variety of equipment is lacking. The fitness room is often available but it would be great if there were stackable steps to use. If you’re looking for a quickie, go between the hours of 12 noon and 2p. The bathrooms could also be a little cleaner as well. If you’re local to the area, L.A. Fitness is more the route to go. But if you don’t mind any of the things I’ve mentioned, sign up I guess.
Angela Alale 8 months agoI saw this badass older lady on Instagram working out and noticed she was at Crunch Fitness. So, I looked up the Long Beach, CA location and snagged a guest pass to check it out. 🎟️ When I arrived, I met Kristin — she was awesome! Positive, super cheerful, friendly, and gave me a full tour of the gym. She asked about my goals and if there was any specific equipment I wanted to use. I told her I wanted to use the battle ropes and the equipment that would help with my form. And like a lot of ladies these days (and some guys too) I want to especially focus on my glutes. So… as soon as I spotted the hip thrust machine, I was sold, lol. (Check out the video👇🏽) I also received a free 30-minute 🕚 training session and was paired with Leah — who was awesome. She asked what areas I wanted to focus on and what intensity level I preferred. I told her I wanted a lower-body workout with some good intensity. She put together a complete routine that fit perfectly into those 30 minutes. Leah is super cheerful, upbeat and positive, and clearly knows her stuff — from exercise science to proper form and movement. She gave me terrific tips throughout the workout. So, I knew I was in great hands. 💪🏼 After that session, I knew I wanted to sign up and train with Leah. Then I met with Trent, the new manager, he was awesome, positive and motivating. He listened to my goals and knew what I needed. He found a personal training time and frequency that fit my budget and schedule. He made sure I was taken care of and pleased with everything. Plus, the promo now is only $1 for the first month — so I had to jump on that! 😊 I also have to say, the gym itself is super clean and well organized. The weights, mats, and equipment were all in their proper places. Every machine I used had already been wiped down, and they provide these easy-to-grab wipes so you can clean your station after use. 🫧 Highly recommend the Crunch Fitness Long Beach, CA location — 5 stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Stacy Lopez 3 months agoI got my membership at Crunch about two months ago, and I was honestly really nervous going in since I didn’t feel like I knew what I was doing. Not even a week in, I know I was struggling with my form on one specific workout, and Ron came over and offered to quickly help me. It really made such a difference! He’s very knowledgeable and never made me feel silly for asking questions. He took the time to explain different equipment, classes, and even how to get started with a personal trainer based on my goals. I also really appreciate how clean and welcoming the gym is. The friendly staff and positive environment have made a huge difference for me. I don’t think I’d enjoy it or keep renewing my membership without that support. Thank you so much to Ron for making my experience such a great one! If you’re looking for a gym, I definitely recommend this one and would ask to speak to Ron.
