I originally signed up when this was still Gold’s Gym and genuinely enjoyed it. Since the transition to EOS, the gym has been on a steady decline. My membership terms were changed without any notice. No email, no app notification, nothing. If my original plan had been left alone or clearly communicated, I likely would have stayed a member. EOS promotes these gyms as “luxury,” but that hasn’t matched my experience. I tried giving the organization a fair chance and visited a couple of other DTLA locations, but the upkeep and overall environment didn’t reflect what’s being advertised. The final straw was the condition of the women’s sauna, which appeared poorly maintained and honestly unsafe, with damage and nails sticking out. That’s not luxury, that’s a safety concern. It’s disappointing because this used to be a gym I enjoyed. I’ve since canceled my membership and moved to a private gym where I’m paying more, but at least the quality and communication are there. EOS lost a loyal member over unnecessary changes and lack of transparency.

This gym is simply amazing! I had a chance to try this gym out and I loved it. The staff here is super friendly and gave me and my friend a tour and answered all our questions, Derek was super helpful, thank you! Every machine is new and clean, the free weight area is great too, a little crowded but if you locked in you can make it work! I’m moving to town soon and probably this will be my go to gym!

Dirty, broken, and neglected. NOT built to be anything other than TEMPORARY. I tried so hard to give this place a chance, but they clearly don’t care about the quality of the space they provide. I get that construction sometimes takes longer than expected. But I joined this gym a year ago with the promise that the new location would be ready in 4-6 months. This location is NOT sustainable and not maintained. The staff turns off the back lights at 9:40 PM (sometimes 9:30), despite still having numerous guests on the treadmills - which is extremely rude and also very hazardous, I’m honestly surprised I haven’t rolled an ankle. There are much better ways to get guests out of a closing gym. The space is not ventilated for large groups of sweating people, there’s no ac or fresh air and the glass walls literally steam up. The machines have not been calibrated since they’ve been installed, a 5.0 pace on one treadmill is completely different on another. The weight machines are worn down and lacking weight indicators. The self-clean supplies are empty 9/10 times, and while I’ve seen employees wipe down equipment at the end of the night there’s really no way to wipe it down yourself. On top of that I’ve seen actual boogers on the glass walls and baby roaches on the machines. I honestly wish I was exaggerating, I really wanted to give this place a good review. The only good thing about this place was the staff member named Connery - he was friendly and seemed to really care about the gym. But since it’s been months since I’ve seen him around, I no longer have a reason to hesitate posting this review.

These people are crooks. They tried to extract a “downgrade fee” which does not exist in any contract or policy for my husband and I attempting to switch home clubs. The fee went from $100 with the front desk clerk to $50 with the GM. There is NO SUCH FEE. All they were trying to do was maximize their commission by stealing money from two members with a made up fee. We canceled our memberships and were made to call a customer service line in the Philippines that has absolutely nothing to do with EoS. ABC Financial made it as difficult as possible, contrary to California law, to cancel the plan. Just stay away from this entire brand. They have been nothing but problems from day 1.
