Fantastic gym! I was visiting from Austin and needed a professional gym to get my routine in and the entire staff was friendly, equipment was clean, and it was very affordable for a day pass. Polo (the owner) was extremely kind and welcoming. This gym has every piece of equipment you could need. I normally go to a climbing gym in Austin and Polo’s had everything short of a climbing wall (lol). I’ll definitely be back and I I lived here, I’d be a regular member. Thanks Polo!

I had one of the worst gym experiences of my life at Polo’s Gym. I’m 17, and my family is currently dealing with a difficult situation—my mom has cancer—so my brothers and I are not local to the area. Despite everything going on, I’ve stayed committed to my fitness and was looking for a gym where I could train seriously while we’re here. I called ahead to ask about day passes, and the initial interaction seemed respectful. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. We called to get the door code, let ourselves in, and signed the waiver sheet that was left out. Since no staff member was present, we assumed we could pay on the way out. We started our workout, and everything was fine—until I received a phone call from Polo. The tone immediately shifted. He was hostile, unprofessional, and disrespectful from the start. He accused me of not wiping down equipment right away and got especially upset about me using the pull-up bar and dumbbells. I apologized and told him I would wipe everything down immediately, but instead of accepting that, he escalated the situation. He said, “I have extreme germophobia, and it really pisses me off when someone doesn’t wipe their stuff down—you’d rather look at yourself flexing in the mirror.” That kind of comment was unnecessary and completely out of line. He also complained that we hadn’t paid, and I explained that no one was at the front desk when we came in and that we intended to pay before leaving. The call ended with him saying, “I’m coming down there to wipe your stuff down for you, and I want you and your brothers to leave and never come back.” We respected his demand and started gathering our things to leave. Later, we found out his son was actually there and had seen us come in but chose not to approach us. That’s what makes this situation even more frustrating—this could have been handled with a simple, respectful conversation. A quick “Hey, did you guys check in and pay?” or “Please remember to wipe down equipment” would have solved everything. Instead, both Polo and his son handled the situation poorly and unprofessionally. The lack of communication, combined with the aggressive and disrespectful behavior, left a very negative impression on us. I would not recommend this gym based on how we were treated.

My happy place! Nothing fancy, but has everything I need for a great workout and it’s always clean. Polo is professional and always willing to show you how to use a machine if you have questions. Everyone is there to have a great workout and in their own zone. I love it.

My boyfriend introduced me to Polo’s gym this last spring. Training equipment has always been somewhat of an intimidation and learning curve for me. After only 2 visits to Polo’s gym, one of the personal trainers there, Rio, offered me a consultation. Since my consultation with Rio I’ve finally found some rhythm and a plan that works for me and my fitness goals. Now when I go in for my own sessions, Rio is always there to motivate and support me through my fitness journey. He helps me unlock the ‘magic’ of each machine when I have doubts and even reminds me which muscles, or parts of my body, to engage allowing me to experience a really productive session. Rio will even write up a training guide for me to follow for the day! For me, finding confidence in the gym has always been the hardest part. Understanding how to use the machines and equipment can be daunting. At Polo’s, I truly feel supported by everyone there, respected in my performance, more knowledgeable of my body and of the equipment, confident and structured, and so strong! A big shout out to Rio who’s drastically improving my health and thank you to everyone else at Polo’s! It’s really a gym made of some truly decent people.

I dropped in on a trip and was struggling to find a gym on short notice but I found Polos gym. It is awesome, it has everything you need to achieve your goals. Polo himself is a super cool and nice dude that made sure I was well accommodated for my day here.
