Andrew 2 months agoThis has become an overpriced “wellness” not “fitness” gym. The new equipment is catered to an older crowd or for people that are not serious about fitness. It’s like a posh plant fitness or upgraded hotel gym. There is no calve machine and the leg press is designed for people under 175lbs. Expect repairs to take up to 2-3 months, with no compensation in membership price. The showers/locker room are very dated. For the price of this gym, there are much better options in the area.
ke v in zhang a month agoThe renovated club has turned out exceptionally well, creating an atmosphere that feels warm, comfortable, and vibrant. It has clearly enhanced both the member experience and the overall quality of the space. In particular, the swimming area has been very thoughtfully designed. The standard pool is ideal for adult fitness and training; the warmer pool is especially well-suited for seniors and children; and there is also a dedicated smaller pool designed for children and infants learning to swim. The combination of the three pools, together with the Hot Tub, Sauna facilities within the changing rooms, and complimentary towel service, creates a wellness and leisure area that is highly functional, well-organized, and perfectly aligned with the positioning of a family-oriented club. If the club could further optimize the Hot Tub water treatment system in the future — for example, gradually adopting a saltwater purification system to reduce issues such as swimsuit fading and skin irritation caused by current chemical treatments — the overall experience would become even more refined and would likely be even more appreciated by long-term members. In addition, some areas within the fitness section currently have overlapping functions, while certain spaces still appear underutilized. If some of the redundant functions could be reorganized and relocated more efficiently into the available unused areas, while also incorporating 1–2 indoor Pickleball courts, it would significantly enhance both the diversity of sports offerings and the overall value of the club’s space. This would help create a more balanced combination of sports, fitness, and family leisure amenities, while further strengthening member retention and the club’s competitive positioning in the market. It would also align well with the evolving trend of modern family-oriented clubs. If the club continues to optimize its facilities and maintain strong operational quality — combined with advantages such as complimentary parking and its prime location within the city — I believe a monthly membership fee in the range of $100–130 would be both reasonable and acceptable to most members. Such a pricing structure would not only provide the financial support necessary to continuously improve the environment, atmosphere, and service quality for members, but would also help establish a strong foundation for the club’s long-term, healthy, and sustainable development.
Janelle S 8 months agoI recently toured Coppermine gym & Cole showed me around. He was super energetic, fun & incredibly informative. He answered all of my questions & never made me feel rushed or judged (I have some gym anxiety). You can tell he actually cares about his job & helping people feel welcome. Signed up same day! They’re currently in a slow transition from MAC to Coppermine, so expect some changes but from what I’ve seen so far, it’s looking like it’s for the better. In my opinion the membership price is very reasonable considering all of the included amenities & the convenient location being right in Harbor East. Parking is also included up to 3 hours if you had to commute. I feel like I’ve found a hidden gem 💎 - 10/10 Thanks Cole!
I'm watching 2 months agoNot sure what the real reason was but Tommy the sales Guy (harbor East)never returned any emails or calls to continue with signing up of my autistic adult son. I just assumed coppermine doesn't support black autistic clients. After reading some of the reviews were it says "coppermine will charge you even after you cancel your membership". I feel we dodged a bullet. 👍🏾👍🏾🤔😊The gym looks nice I guess.
Josh Nissley 4 months agoDisgusting roach filled gym with shady managers who have fraudulent practices. Don’t join this gym unless you want roaches to crawl into your belongings through the holes in the lockers and have the manager state that was normal because it’s an old building and they had just cleaned the backboards of the lockers so that must have disturbed the roach hive that exists behind there (?!?!?) Don’t join this gym unless you’re ready for them to fraudulently charge you $680 several months after you have canceled the membership. When approached about this discrepancy, the manager, Ashley Harvey, states that policy ALLOWS them to illegally charge you months after you have canceled. So there you have it. Out of the horse’s mouth. A quick scroll though the reviews will indicate that this has happened with may other members. Choose wisely if you’re wondering if this gym is for you. Current members, take heed and prepare to be in close contact with your banks should you ever decide to cancel.
