Ragnar Loth brook 3 months agoI love this gym!!! It has everything!!! Classes ! Recovery and message therapy. Best equipment. Smoothie bar. Better quality gym than any in Omaha. But can we please raise the monthly rate so less people are there. Let’s go 400 a month for 2 people, and plus 100$ for each person after that. Let some of those folks join golds gym. Cause Good lord. I’m pretty sure it’s fire hazard to have that many people and kids in one building. You can’t stretch your arms without hitting someone on accident. Or here’s an idea, switch to 24hr. So people have more flexibility to work out. That way 5000 people will not show up at 4pm-8pm everyday, cause honestly the experience is ruin when I feel like I’m at Disney world.
Lindsey Fassler 4 months agoI’ve been a member at Lifetime Fitness for over a year, so I feel well-positioned to provide a review. Lifetime is a premier “lifestyle” gym—more like a full health club, not the $10/month gyms you see around Omaha. For me, as a mother to a small child, no other local gym compares, aside from the Jewish Community Center, which was more expensive and didn’t meet my standards. Depending on your location (Papillion, or a nice YMCA nearby) and budget, another gym could be a better fit for some. I love having access to the sauna, steam room, hot tub, towel service, and toiletries. The fitness classes are excellent, and the kids’ club is wonderful for my son, with a secure check-in process and cameras. My family uses both indoor and outdoor pools regularly. Equipment is rarely out of commission, and the facilities are clean. The club has a casual co-working area (not private offices) where I sometimes work, plus a cafe with decent, reasonably priced food and good lattes—healthier than typical options. While it’s not cheap, the cost is reasonable for everything we use, especially when I’m there nearly every day. Staff-wise, I’ve encountered one dry/rude employee, but it hasn’t been an issue. All class instructors are fantastic trainers, the front desk staff are always nice, and Wendy, who runs the kids’ program, is approachable and effective. For anxious parents, I recommend waiting until your child can communicate about their experience—but I feel confident in Lifetime’s care for my son. Bottom line (IMO): Lifetime is worth it if you value their amenities, can get to the gym, and will actually use the membership.
maureen rohlfs 2 months agoI was a member of Life Time Omaha on and off for over 16 years. It used to feel like a safe, welcoming environment where I could confidently bring my children and focus on my health. Unfortunately, my experience changed due to a situation involving a spin instructor that deeply impacted my personal life. This situation made the gym feel uncomfortable and no longer like the safe space it once was for me and my family. What has been most disappointing is how everything was handled. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, and ultimately I was the one who had to leave and cancel my membership after many years. I understand that personal situations can be complex, but when they affect members’ comfort and trust, I believe they should be handled with greater care and accountability. Because of this experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider what kind of environment they’re looking for when choosing a gym.
Katelyn Johnson a month agoWish I could rate it lower than 1 star. So upset with how I was treated by staff I had a terrible run in with a male staff member working the front. Confronted me about a misunderstanding that he claims his staff saw but staff never approached me and he then threatened to ban me. I will never throw my money into this business again. I am a perfectly polite member of whatever place I am at, with decency and grace. I would never recommend this to anyone. The price is ridiculous and the staff does not have good hospitality, they don’t greet you kindly, or serve you as a member. Every time I would ask to use the pickleball courts they would say no, even though they were empty?? If you want to pay $150 to be mistreated go right ahead!
Steve Gerren 7 months agoLifetime fitness has great equipment and is semi clean. Other than that, the staff couldn’t care less about the members regardless of age etc unless you know them personally outside of the gym. The security is horrid, multiple thefts out of locker rooms and no action is taken at all. All they ask is what is in the locker and they will open up any locker for anyone. They won’t even review the cameras. Lockers are not secure and neither are your vehicles.
