While I love certain elements of the club (the quality of most areas, the kids club, and proximity to Summerlin), I am largely dissatisfied and feel ripped off for what I’m getting in return. Let’s start with what’s in the photos I posted here. In regular occasion, that is the state of the pool loungers. When I approached a pool staff member, they told me that it would just take too much cleaning, so they just leave it like that. Not sure if that’s true, but there’s absolutely no excuse for a luxury sports club to have that filth on their loungers. Note to management: Wash them daily or find another solution. Totally embarrassing! You should be ashamed to charge what you do and then expect people to sit on those. On top of that gripe, I have many more: horrible parking, uninformed (yet generally polite) staff, pretty much anything fun is an upcharge on top of the wildly high membership fees, you can only get signature memberships even though it’s not a signature club, the pickleball courts are a complete joke (it’s loud, there’s not enough, and on top of that, they always give priority to one court for a class so that they can get extra money and inconvenience their other paying members), lots of things are broken in the shower area, the massage machines are always overheating and there’s not enough of them (they’re always occupied), no outdoor courts of any kind. All in all, it’s a good club but definitely not for the insane prices they’re charging in exchange. Unfortunately there’s not many other alternatives for that level of quality and around that price range near Summerlin, so I am not hopeful that management will do anything about it. I’m eagerly waiting for Mark Wahlberg’s club to open up soon.

Traveling in Vegas this week and stopped by for a workout. Beautiful building! Super friendly staff. It was busy, but didn’t have any issues getting done what I wanted to get done.

I generally enjoy many parts of the Summerlin club — the gym, sauna, and pool during regular weekdays. However, the weekend pool atmosphere has become extremely overcrowded and honestly very disappointing. My teenage son was quietly resting on a regular lounge chair by the pool for quite some time with no issue. Then staff suddenly asked him to leave because the area was supposedly “21+.” After I spoke with management, I was told there were “other areas” available for regular members. However, when I went to check, most of the pool seating had already been blocked off and marked as reserved/paid seating. The conclusion was very clear: my child was moved simply to create another paid reservation area. That feels extremely disrespectful, especially considering I pay over $500 per month for a family membership. I do not come to Life Time for pool parties or resort-style upselling. If I want that atmosphere, I can go to a Las Vegas hotel pool. I come to relax, train, and spend peaceful family time. Instead, on weekends it feels almost impossible to even use basic pool seating included with the membership because so much of the area becomes monetized and overcrowded. Experiences like this genuinely make me question whether paying this much for a family membership is worth it anymore.

My experience started with basic guidance from a trainer who helped me structure a simple routine. That helped me avoid random workouts and stay focused. Some benches show signs of wear, but nothing unsafe. I usually come after work, and although it gets busy, I can still complete my session without too much waiting if I plan my order properly.

It’s a good gym; but if you’re just using the gym and not the other amenities then it’s not a great value as it is pricey. Services like trainers, guest passes and even food is grossly overpriced. The facility is dated and missing some amenities that some of the newer big gyms have.
