I asked the manager, Felix, to update an “out of order” sign on a machine to reflect the fact that it would be nonfunctional for an indefinite period of time (awaiting parts). Then as clients, we can stop anticipating and checking daily ( only two machines of this type in the gym). Felix is a rude hot mess from hell. He told me to call corporate. You can’t actually call corporate, I tried. Atta boy, manager Felix. That’s how he manages customer requests and takes responsibility!

Kam at the front desk made getting my membership super easy and stress-free. She took the time to walk me through all the options, explained everything clearly, and helped me pick the plan that worked best for me. She was patient, friendly, and really knew her stuff, which made the whole process quick and smooth. I never felt rushed or confused, and she made sure I left with everything set up properly. Really appreciate her help great first experience at the gym thanks to Kam.

Great location. But wanna make a review specifically to shoutout Vince. Man’s honestly one of the main reasons I enjoy coming to this Crunch location. Every time I see him he’s upbeat, welcoming, and clearly cares about the people in the gym, not just clocking in and out. He remembers members names, checks in, and keeps the energy positive in a way that makes the place feel like a real community instead of just another gym. It’s a great vibe walking into everyday. You can tell he takes pride in the job and represents the brand well. If Crunch is smart, they’ll keep putting more responsibility on this guy. Vince is exactly the kind of employee you want leading your business.

As a beginner in my fitness journey I was really self conscious about going to the gym but being a member at the San Mateo location is awesome! The staff are always friendly and helpful. Julius an employee there, has always been a helpful person to look for in case anyone needs help with machinery or form. This place is great for ppl like me beginning a fitness journey

3 stars for great customer service not being welcoming at the front desk. There was a dirty blonde girl with fake nails that checked us in today but she was not friendly whatsoever. She helped us sign in as we used their “free trial” day pass. But she barely spoke to us, just pointed at the iPad to fill out. Once we were checked in, the older man next to her was the one that told us to have a good workout but no warmth from the girl. The gym overall was really nice as all the machines are very new. But I’d definitely check it out if you’ve been wanting to! Also, not sure if it’s meant to be this way, but the word “judgement” is misspelled everywhere in there lol.
