Beatriz Latimer 3 months agoI had a really frustrating experience with this gym. From the start, the staff put a lot of pressure on me to sign up. I was clear that I didn't want to be locked into a contract, so they suggested a month-to-month option, but it ended up costing over $200 a month. They were also constantly trying to upsell me on add-ons like red light therapy, pushing yet another membership even after I had already signed up. It felt excessive and uncomfortable. When I later decided to cancel, I was told I needed to give a 30-day notice, which was never mentioned when I signed up. The way it was communicated felt dismissive, basically telling me I would definitely be charged for another month. It feels like they treat your card like it's theirs to charge whenever they want. The atmosphere also changed completely after I became a member. Before joining, they were attentive and friendly, but that disappeared once I signed up. It's easy to get in, but a nightmare to get out. The classes were unreliable as well. The instructor I signed up for missed a lot of sessions, sometimes resulting in weeks without classes. I was promised discounts for those missed sessions, but they never followed through. At one point, I went almost an entire month without the class because the trainer quit, yet I was still charged the full amount. On top of that, I was offered a $50 discount that never showed up. Instead, I was actually charged even more. When I asked about it, they said it was a billing mistake, but that doesn't change the fact that I was overcharged without my consent. The only good class was the heat/and tone and the trainer left. You also have to book a class before you attend and if you don't go they charge you a 20 dollar fee. Save yourself your money and go elsewhere. UPDATE***This response from the owner is honestly more concerning than the issue itself. I was charged $209 for a membership that includes the Heat & Tone class. That class was not consistently offered for an extended period due to staff absence and ultimately the coach leaving. That’s simply a fact. I also did not receive the $50 credit being claimed. My statements show I was charged the full amount each month with no adjustment. If a credit was applied, it should be easy to show exactly where. Instead of addressing this, the response turned personal, which is disappointing. This is not about a “favorite coach,” it’s about paying for a service that was not provided. I would have preferred a professional resolution, but based on this response, I’ll let others judge the level of customer service for themselves. I’m attaching this weeks calendar with not heat/tone if i could go back i’ll show the rest of the month so you can see what a blatant liar this woman is.
Charles Christian 10 months agoI’ve had numerous gyms but this is my first HIT gym and it’s been an entirely different experience. It’s changed my game with intensity, consistency, drive, performance and results. Just after the first three months I’m redefining my self and this has actually become a routine commitment. (Crazy) Usually by now gyms get set on the back burner but the challenges along with personal goals, noticeable results and the synergy of the classes keep me engaged and I actually feel like I’m just heating up!
Rachel Heston 8 months agoPhone number on their website directs you to an inaccurate number, so it’s hard to get in touch with them. Parking is at uptown 550, but the signs for parking make it confusing because they don’t mention hustle house guests can park there. The parking situation combined with the inaccurate phone number were making me run late and when I finally was able to reach them they said they can’t let me into class even if im one minute late and were dismissive. I understand not allowing late comers, but was hoping for some leniency due to the issues and it was my first class!
Aaron Bock 6 years agoThis is the best HIIT style workout I have done in Charlotte. The workout is much more focused on muscle groups and well thought out. Also, very reasonable pricing for the monthly memberships.
