I recently purchased a one week pass at the Old City location while visiting Philly from CO. Hands down it was an AWESOME experience! The staff across the board was super friendly, helpful and made me and my sister and brother-in-law (we all purchased a week long pass) feel like valued members. A special shout out to James - George & Ryan for going above and beyond! Great facilities (clean - well designed) Plenty of free weights & machines to choose from. Lot's of rooms to choose from - we never felt crowded. We LOVED the post workout water massage chairs!!! If you're visiting Philly and looking for a great workout spot, I can't speak highly enough of City Fitness - Old City location.

Leaving another review for my City Fitness FAMILY! They have really made my gym experience worthwhile. I wake up looking forward to being greeted by the whole team! Shoutout to: Caeleb, Jackie, Ryan, Matt, James, and Tone! Love you all!

I really like this gym — great energy, great staff, and the classes are solid. The only thing that really needs improvement is the class participation policy. It would help a lot if there was a little more flexibility for people who are new. Letting members join within the first 5–10 minutes would make a huge difference. Sometimes you’re still learning the layout, dealing with traffic, and being locked out for being a couple minutes late feels discouraging. It would make the onboarding experience much more welcoming and supportive.

Consistent member. Nice facility for the layman but would warn athletes there’s not much in the way of heavy weights. only 1 heavy kettlebell & weights on go to 100lbs in 1 general area. def need heavier dumbbells for athletes not looking to injure themselves on dumbells.

I had a year long membership with City Fitness. When my year was over, my membership auto renewed, which I was never made aware of during the sign up process. I was billed for an extra month. I reached out to billing and have heard nothing. The app is giving me an error when I try to cancel as well. I have called and there is nothing they can do over the phone (no fault to the front desk employees). At the price I was paying for a membership, it is absolutely ridiculous that I haven’t heard back on this. I actually enjoyed this gym, but the lack of communication surrounding payments and customer support is infuriating and feels deceptive. I do not appreciate my money or time being wasted an that’s is exactly what City Fitness is doing.
