I tried this gym for a while hoping for a more “raw” training environment, but it turned out to be far beyond that in the worst way. The place is filthy. I regularly saw dead roaches, bugs painted over on the walls, overflowing trash, and broken equipment that never seemed to get fixed. The cold plunge was disgusting, full of gnats and literally broken apart on the floor. There was dog hair and chalk everywhere, and nothing ever looked properly cleaned. From what I could tell, cleaning happens maybe once a week, if that, and no one wipes equipment down after use. To make matters worse, I ended up with a staph infection within my first few weeks. I initially thought it might have come from somewhere else, but after getting it again while still training here, it is hard to ignore the obvious connection. The overall atmosphere is not great either. Members constantly complain about the gym and the owner behind his back. For $80+ a month, you would expect a much higher standard. Instead, the owner/trainer seems more interested in sitting on his phone scrolling Instagram models than actually engaging with or training clients. Save your money and find a gym that is clean, well maintained, and professionally run.

I’ve been a member at Music City Muscle for over 4 months and there is no better gym in Nashville. The coaches are dedicated and some of the best in their field and the gym itself is welcoming. You could be intimidated walking in the first day but I promise it’ll be the best decision you make. I’m a former college athlete who was looking for structure and to get stronger. I found both and so much more at MCM. I love the “old school” gym atmosphere and that the coaches put technique first. At MCM they walk the walk. If you’re looking for accountability, community, and to get stronger - look no further.

Absolutely fantastic gym! I was traveling for a family reunion and needed a place to get a workout in for a couple of days. What a great find! This gym has everything you could possibly need, whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or just looking to get a solid workout. I really appreciated that all their equipment uses plates; I felt like it gave me a much more effective workout. The real bonus was the sauna, cold plunge, and showers – perfect for starting the day right. It's also very affordable for travelers, incredibly clean, and has a really peaceful atmosphere. Blake was awesome and super easy to work with, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

I've been a class member for 6 months and the programming is great! I was looking for good technique instruction and to safely lift heavy weights without the HIIT circuits of many other gyms. There is a LOT of equipment and all of the coaches and members are super friendly. I really appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and affirmation of LGBTQ athletes. I've gotten PRs on all of my strength lifts recently!
