Wow, I was really pleasantly surprised by this gym. It’s modern, spacious, and they offer 3-hour validated parking, huge plus! I came in on a Tuesday morning, and it was quite busy, but they have tons of machines, so I was able to get a good workout. The setup is really nice, with plenty of space to move around. I did notice an older lady trying to leg press 450 lbs impressive hahah but she didn’t seem to actually lift it. She sat there for a while, then got up without putting the weights back, and someone had to politely confront her about it. Rerack your weights, be respectful of others, and clean your equipment, basic gym etiquette. The facility is clean, the staff friendly! Some of the signs are outdated, which is a bit odd!

Save yourself some time and agony. Just ignore this terrible gym and look elsewhere. First. I loved it when it was golds gym. However, when the Eos fitness took over, it became a nightmare. They promised to lower my monthly payment from 59.99 to 39.99 if I rejoined and waived $60 annual fee, since I just paid it a month ago. 1. The price didn’t drop to 39.99. It stayed 59.99. 2. They charged me for another annual fee of 59.99. When I complained. They said they would take care of it. I got so sick of it, I cancelled the membership. It didn’t get cancelled and and they sent the whole balance to collection. Can’t get anyone to talk to me and couldn’t get anyone at the gym help me. Even planet fitness is better option.

I purchased the towel service for $10 monthly. After about 7 days of trying to access the machine to get my towels it kept denying me access. Every time I told the front desk people to give me a towel as the machine would deny my access they would take me to the machine so they can verify Im scanning properly. The same employee helped me 4 out of the 7 days . Making me feel as if I didn’t know how to scan or as if I’m lying about the s service. I got tired and cancelled and requested a refund with ZACHARY the manager . Since March 22 he keeps telling me my refund is on the way and that it got approved . I feel like he is just not helping me . On top of that I feel like since the transition between golds and Eos the gym over all isn’t as clean as before .

EOS Downtown Los Angeles was once the flagship of the Gold’s Gym brand, known for its premium amenities. For a while, it maintained that high standard. Unfortunately, since being acquired by EOS Fitness, the facility has rapidly deteriorated. While I understand the business model relies on signing up as many members as possible, packing the gym without scaling up the maintenance and cleaning is unacceptable. Currently, there are always at least 7 or more broken items on the floor—including treadmills, weight machines, and essential cable attachments like ropes, carabiners, pulleys, and weight dials. A high-traffic facility demands a strict schedule for regular maintenance, the prompt replacement of worn-out parts, and consistent equipment upkeep, but none of that is happening here. It has actually gotten to the point where regular patrons are forced to bring their own gear—like lat pull-down attachments—just to complete a workout because the gym's equipment is either missing or completely worn out. Machines desperately need lubrication, the air conditioning is incredibly inconsistent, and there are even active ceiling leaks dripping into buckets right on the gym floor. With this massive volume of foot traffic, cleanliness has reached a deplorable state. You’ll find gum stuck to the floors, filthy bathroom fixtures, faucets that only dispense hot water, empty soap dispensers, and an overall layer of grime. To make matters worse, basic gym etiquette is completely gone, and staff does nothing to enforce it. It is common to see people fishing through the gym trash cans collecting recyclables. There is no dress code enforced; patrons frequently work out in unwashed street clothes, wear flip-flops in the free weight areas, or even use treadmills and stationary bikes completely barefoot. Equipment hoarding is also out of control, with people parking themselves on machines for hours without letting anyone work in. If EOS wants to sustain this massive flow of members, they desperately need more cleaning personnel, maintenance workers, and floor staff to enforce basic rules. Until then, the current state of this once-great gym is incredibly disappointing.

After one month, I’m not impressed. When I first came, there were 2-3 stair master that were broken. Today (5/16/26) there were 4-5 down. Luckily they have plenty of treadmills. So even though 5+ of those are broken, they still have plenty more to use. The gym equipment is good. It’s the same stuff that the Gold’s put in. The men’s locker room on the other hand, is disgusting. Especially near the sauna and steam room. Every time I’ve gone to the sauna, it smells like straight butt. Almost like someone came in, dug out some poo, and rub it on the walls. Pretty foul smell.
