A GREAT GYM, with great staff, and an amazing manager, Jeri. There are classes, many with Spanish maestro Andres, separate areas for free weights, cardio, and exercise machines on different levels. There are men and women, younger and older, newbies and power lifters, gay and straight, all respecting each other’s space. This a gym for everybody. My wife and I have been coming here for 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We highly recommend it.

Half the price of VIDA and the equipment is actually on-par. I would like to see more cable stations, but otherwise you had the equipment I need and it seems to be of mid-range and in some case high-end configurations. The lighting is so great I can actually see (a big reason I'm leaving VIDA, it's too damn dark and hard to see in there). Locker rooms looked clean and facilities decent. You did have some machines my VIDA location doesn't but there isn't as much duplication of more frequently used machines (i.e. cable stations and pec fly). Overall a good experience and I will be cancelling my VIDA membership in favor of this gym.

I toured NYSC Dupont Circle intending to rejoin after nearly a decade as a member in NYC. General Manager Norman DorseyPoles gave me a tour so rushed and sales-bot frantic that I half expected him to hand me a contract before I’d even put my purse down. He didn’t bother to show me the women’s locker room-I had to explicitly ask and only then did he pivot mid-stride like, “Oh, right, that.” Then came the pitch. Norman dangled the current promo ($1 down, $0 monthly dues til March, $0 due today) like it was an invitation to a secret society. It’s « not for everyone, alumni only », a special favor he could apply exclusively if I signed on the spot. So much pressure to close immediately that the floor could’ve buckled. Spoiler: I didn’t sign. I called another NYSC location in DC. They cheerfully confirmed the promo is available to absolutely anyone -no secret handshake, no alumni decoder ring required. So I called Dupont back. The staff there also confirmed it’s for everyone. When I got Norman on the phone again, he told me I «misunderstood » and tried to rewrite history in real time. Sir, I understood perfectly-I just didn’t fall for it. I emailed District Manager Jason Hutchings detailing the bait-and-switch, the locker-room skip, and the “sign now or lose it” pressure. Jason apologized, stated NYSC doesn’t condone deceptive sales tactics, noted Norman is new, and said « mistakes require ownership » And yet the pièce de résistance? Norman left a Google review of his own NYSC location Because nothing screams confidence in your club like rating yourself. Pathetic. This place is giving car dealership energy.If Norman is the future of NYSC, my decade of loyalty evaporated. Save your money, your time and your BS detector -it’ll be working overtime here.

It's my go-to gym when I'm in town. I find it to be of great value - it is well equipped, never too crowded, very clean (I see them clean every time I'm here), and has extremely friendly and welcoming staff. I tried many gyms in town and this one is by far my favorite. It has a very laid back vibe, no judgy people, no noisy music, and no attempt of up-selling like other places often do. Definitely worth checking out, if you're looking for a good gym!

Freshly renovated and just reopened, this gym has brand new equipment throughout. It is clean and bright (minor work is still in progress but it won’t affect your workout). The staff is friendly and welcoming. The quality of the bath products and the towels could be better though.
