J M 7 months agoThis particular Lifetime Fitness deserves a review that actually reflects reality. I’ve been to a few of them and this is the best in Atlanta minus the absence of a basketball court. Before I visited, I did what most people do and looked through the reviews because J was shocked that a brand new gym had a 3.9 rating… After reading some of them and going, I honestly wondered if we were even talking about the same place. It felt like a collection of first world complaints from people who will look for any reason to nitpick. Or maybe I just came at the righr time? I think somewhere along the way, we as a society have developed an entitlement mindset where the smallest inconvenience becomes a dramatic event. And unfortunately, that is exactly the type of energy I feel in many of the negative reviews. Here is the truth from someone who actually goes to the gym with a clear mind and reasonable expectations. Lifetime is world class. Period. The facility is spacious, spotless, beautifully designed and easily one of the best gyms I have seen in the entire southeast. The equipment is top notch and maybe because its still new. The layout is intentional and zen like. The environment actually motivates you to work out. The amenities feel more like a wellness resort than a typical gym. You are not stepping into a warehouse with weights. You are stepping into a place created for people who take their health, longevity and lifestyle seriously. Are there imperfections. Yes, the parking situation is not ideal. It requires a little patience. But that is where common sense and perspective matter. If the biggest problem in your fitness journey is that you had to walk an extra sixty seconds from your car to the front door, then the issue is not the gym. The issue is entitlement. We live in a country where people enjoy complaining more than they enjoy appreciating what is right in front of them. Some of these reviews read like the writers walked in expecting personal red carpet service and were offended that the world did not bend to their mood that day. I cant really comment on the staff because when I come I usually only see 1 or 2 people and tend to mind my business but overall the energy is good. The environment is VERY clean. The facility is elite. They open up a lot of equipment the other places close off Everything about this space supports growth, discipline and lifestyle improvement. And that is really the point. A great gym is not measured by whether someone found a fingerprint on a mirror or whether a treadmill was in use at the exact moment they wanted it. A great gym is measured by culture, quality, atmosphere and consistency. Lifetime delivers all of that. If you are the type of person who understands that the world does not revolve around you, you will appreciate this place. If you value excellence and a space that feels intentionally crafted, you will enjoy every visit. If you want a gym that actually elevates your experience instead of dragging it down, this is the one. In summary, Lifetime Fitness is exceptional. Some people will always find a reason to complain. That is their hobby. But if you want a truly world class environment that supports your goals, ignore the noise and go see it for yourself.
Rodell Surgeon a month agoI’ve really been enjoying my experience at Lifetime. The facility is always clean, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the customer service has consistently been great. One thing I truly appreciate is how warm and friendly everyone is, especially when you walk in. The staff always greets you and makes you feel welcome, which honestly makes a big difference and creates such a positive environment. One of the biggest highlights for me has been the Pilates classes with Parker on Mondays. I’ve been going for about a month now, and when I first started, it definitely was not easy catching on. But Parker is such an amazing instructor. She’s patient, encouraging, and truly meets you where you are, no matter your skill level. I also took a couple of private sessions with her, and that made an even bigger difference in helping me feel more confident and comfortable. She creates such a positive and supportive environment, and the members in the class are great as well. If you’re thinking about trying Pilates or looking for a gym that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely community driven, I definitely recommend Lifetime and Parker’s classes.
Michael Behn 2 months agoPhotos taken March 7th today April 1st the men’s locker room looked like this for the entire time o was here. Kind of lame! They aren’t restocking wipes in the weight area… they have been understaffed for a month? Hire more me. Who can service the men’s locker room please
William Fotter 8 months agoMy wife and I have been members since January and absolutely love Life Time. I truly look forward to going to Life Time every day in way that I never really have before at any other gym. The facilities are excellent, the gym is spacious and immaculate, and the trainers and classes are world class and have really inspired me to do things outside my comfort zone and strive to improve my health. The welcoming environment and amount of options have allowed me to try things I never thought I’d get into—crossfit style classes, yoga, and Pilates to name a few—and given the sheer amount of activities and things to do it’s a pretty good deal. If you’re going to splurge on something, it may as well be your physical and mental health. But the reason I’m writing this review today is to commend the staff for recently going above and beyond on customer service. Due to a temporary hardship, my wife and I have had to temporarily pause our membership for a bit. This did not come easily, but we ultimately realized that we had to either pause temporarily or end up cancelling. We really didn’t want to cancel given how positive it’s been for us, so I reached out to management explaining the situation. Jenna was extremely kind and graciously offered to let us pause for the length of the temporary hardship, so we don’t have to quit and then rejoin as new members later. It’s been a pretty difficult time, so Life Time being so understanding and gracious about working with us on a solution really meant a lot to me. I’ve made enough friends in classes or on the weight floor that this already felt more like a community than a gym, but Jenna’s customer service really reinforced that community feel. I’m already missing LT now that our membership is temporarily paused, but thankfully I can still use the app’s cardio and bodyweight workouts while taking advantage of the fall weather. I’m looking forward to coming back and know that we’ll be members for as long as we live nearby.
Nick T a year agoI've been a Lifetime member for years and this location has some definite pros and cons. Pros: -Staff (front desk / trainers / instructors) are all very friendly and attentive. -New equipment and floor plan makes sense for overall flow of gym and busy hours. -You never really have to wait for a piece of equipment even when the parking lot is completely full. -Class selection is vast and all the ones I've taken (Yoga and GTX) are well ran. -Bands and other equipment that seems to disappear at other locations has stayed steady. Cons: -Parking is incredibly limited. If you go at a busy hour, plan to circle for 10-20 minutes with about 15 other cars. Spots are limited but also SMALL as you can see from other reviews. -Pickleball: The is a very poorly ran program. The outdoor courts have makeshift dividers that hit you while you play. The courts (indoor and outdoor) are booked a week out with no one on them and the management seems to continue to make empty promises even with people consistently complaining. They also have a few events where they will charge you $20 for open play. Sorry but if I'm paying $480 a month for 2 people, I should not have to pay $20 to play pickleball for an hour on courts with dead spots and janky dividers. All in all, this gym is convenient for me but if your primary goal is pickleball, I would heavily avoid this location especially for the "premium" experience they try to sell for your membership.
