Friendly staff, gym is clean, variety of machines and I personally like the split level. However, especially at busy times (e.g.- the start of a new year, 7:00 in the morning, 5:30 in the evening ) there should be a limit on cardio and the men's sauna. Otherwise, I am pleased with my choice of leaving LA Fitness.

3.5 stars. Affordable 2 floor gym with all the equipment you need. Mainly chose this gym because it's the only one I can walk to. Docking some stars because the wifi & cell signal is horrible. They have a gym wifi network but I've never gotten it to work. So I have to log in to Ponce City Market Wifi Every time - it's a pain because you have to enter your email and it takes a minute. And it doesn't work in some parts of the gym so I have to reconnect ~2x per workout. I tend to avoid the 430-7pm range, if you are trying to lift it's going to be crowded. They have a lot of equipment so you could probably figure out a workout in this time frame if you're flexible. There are some machines I wish they would get more of (i.e. another smith machine would be nice, it's always in use) but for the most part they have multiples of the machines/equipment that see heavy usage (i.e. tons of squat racks). Edit: writing this review inspired me to recheck the WiFi - which works now! So upping to 4 stars.

Great gym in terms of equipment and layout. Everything is organized well, and it’s a good place to get in, get a workout, and leave. The major downside is cleanliness. If you’re particular about hygiene, this probably isn’t the gym for you. It’s one of the dirtiest gyms I’ve been to. There’s often dust and hair around, and I’ve seen things like a ChapStick and even a used Kleenex sit on the floor for days without being picked up. There are also no spray bottles available, so equipment doesn’t get wiped down much. I still come here and like it overall, but I bring my own spray bottle and towel because of this. Good gym, but the hygiene situation really needs attention.

Great gym, poor support. Really loved the gym but I moved and went in to cancel and was told I had to over email which is annoying but fine. Sent an email almost 3 weeks ago and received an automated message saying they would get to my request. I’ve been charged for 2 more weeks since then. I understand it can be complicated but disappointed to see another gym making cancelling so challenging and slow. My friend had a similar experience and had to request refunds for all the extra charges so not isolated to me unfortunately. Maybe easiest to just block payment? Open to editing my review if this is resolved.

This gym is run by six teenagers and 20 rats in a trench coat, but that gives it a certain charm. There’s equipment strewn about everywhere and don’t expect an answer if you ask them a question about the equipment, such as where is XYZ? Some of the machines are broken and apparently take a while to repair. A few have some sticky points and have never been fixed, so use those if you want an extra hard workout. Expect to wait up to 10 minutes during peak times (before 9 and 5-7) but that’s par for the course. The music is sometimes too loud, as in I have my earbud sound cranked all the way up and still can’t hear my own music. I wish they provided lotion in the showers. A few times (not recently) they have run out of towels, which can suck hard. That said, there’s ample equipment, it’s fairly spacious since they built out the downstairs, and the sauna is a very nice touch. The Fast Twitch classes are super fun. I love this place.
