We chose this gym because it’s so close to our hotel, and after checking it out online, we decided to sign up for a membership. From the moment we walked in, Rodney made the experience exceptional—he truly deserves a raise! He greeted everyone with a warm smile and an enthusiastic fist pump 👊, instantly setting a positive tone. The energy in the gym is fantastic. The members are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which isn’t something you find at every gym. The price is excellent for what you get, and we loved the massage chairs! Plenty of equipment, no waiting for weights, and everything was clean and in great working order 💪. My husband and I both got an awesome workout in. We’re so grateful to have found this gem—highly recommend!

This gym is very clean and very professional looking. All the equipment are functioning as intended giving you the best and safest workout possible. There are no damages to the padding at all or even a spec of rust. The paper towel dispenser and the spray bottles are always full and available as well. The atmosphere is very civilized without any loud noises.

When I found this location the young lady at the front desk was super helpful. I just moved from the mainland and we couldn't find my account. My phone has died so she lent me a charger that way I could sign in with my phone. I had a few other questions and she was so nice and helpful. The location is a little small for being right in the city center but I guess square footage is a premium when you're downtown, I get it. I was disappointed that the abs and stretch area does not have a stretch cage like every other location I've ever been to. Other than that it's a nice facility, clean and friendly just like I've come to expect from planet fitness. I'd rate it over all 7.5 compared to others I've been to on the mainland, this is the only one I've visited on Oahu so far.

I was a member here for a few years, was a nice gym and convenient location in Ala Moana. I was normally there around 9am or 10am to start and put in a good hour. Lots of people from all walks of life, younger, older, and it everyone seemed to be pretty respectful. It was a trip going from the 2019 mellow vibes, to covid shutdown, to starting up again January 2022 after things started opening up again. Eventually switched to Kahala location around 2024, and stayed there for a year before moving back to CA. But will always remember PF Honolulu as part of the routine, with some familiar faces that were pretty inspiring. Aloha!

Honestly some of the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered overall. There’s two nice ones that actually make you feel welcome. The small girl with the glasses and the tanned taller young guy. The rest? Always miserable. I LOVE the gym itself and the people who go there are respectful. But coming from a strong customer service background the attitudes would not fly anywhere I’ve worked let alone a “non judgement” gym. Honestly makes me not even want to come back. The AC is currently gone too which is a major bummer.
