John Goldsworthy a month agoI’ve had a great experience at Life Time Downtown Minneapolis, especially working with personal trainer Mark Kuphal. Mark is extremely knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in helping his clients improve. Since training with him, I’ve seen major improvements in my strength, conditioning, energy levels, and overall consistency in the gym. What separates Mark is that he knows how to push you while still tailoring workouts to your goals and fitness level. Every session feels purposeful and challenging in the best way. You can tell he takes fitness seriously both professionally and personally. It’s also impressive that Mark is on track to earn his pro bodybuilding card later this year. His dedication, discipline, and expertise clearly show in the way he trains and coaches others. The facility itself is excellent as well, great equipment, clean environment, and a strong overall atmosphere. Highly recommend Life Time Downtown Minneapolis, especially if you’re looking for a top-tier trainer.
Mahad Hussein 10 months agoLifetime Fitness Downtown has a great facility with plenty of space and equipment, and it’s very well-maintained. The only major downside is parking—street parking is expensive (around $10 if you stay three hours) and sometimes hard to find. The parking situation is really inconvenient, which makes me prefer other locations like St. Louis Park. Overall, the gym itself is excellent, but parking is a serious challenge.
Dennis Edwards 2 months agoAwesome!! I joined LT when I lived in MN (over 10 years ago) then moved to IL where I have worked out at several different locations, including being a founding member of the fancy Oakbrook location. But the Target Center LT is the best I’ve seen! The layout is logical, the locker room pristine with full sized lockers! There’s an indoor track and plenty of equipment. I happened to work out during off peak hours, so it wasn’t crowded and I had time to explore. However, it looked like the free weights area was starting to fill up as I was leaving. So maybe if it was really packed my perception would be different. I hope I can visit again and that other LT locations learn from this one. Even my fancy Oakbrook location seems to have slacked off over 5 years. Target Center LT: keep up the great quality work. Kudos!
Francisco Juarez 4 weeks agoStill kinda bewildered how expensive this place has gotten without adding anything substantial. 250+ a month for a gym thats always packed and the machines are always taken. Machines are somewhat new but still feel plastic and shakes despite the extremely high membership. Plus this location isn't even open as late as they used to be. Just feels like the execs are laughing in our faces. They need to stop joking around and lower the membership price to this location and create an actual diamond or higher location like next to the Mississippi or somewhere and make it actually nice and not inside of a cramped stadium with wierd flows of traffic. Not buying this expensive nonsense being in Minneapolis while its all far nicer in other cities like Chicago and New York
Csaba Andrasfi 4 years agoWhat a difference from my main Life Time location (Woodbury). This place is HUGE! Decpite the fact that I did not feel as welcomed at first (very unlike of all my other experiences at Life Time at the other locations) things turned out great. As I entered, I decided to snap a few pictures (like I normally do for my reviews) and one of the check-in staff (bald dude) came at me all hot asking if I needed help and why I was taking pictures (not in a nice tone or lightly curious way). It was definitely not a pleasant interaction, but I kept it polite and we moved on our separate way. The rest of the staff interactions I had were great, everyone seemed really friendly (like the Life Time I know and love). They have some sweet equipment. Asside from the traditional machines, ect. I have seen at the othet Gyms, they have some sweet TechnoGym machines (I didn't try them, but looked like something I would enjoy). I spent most of my time in one of the Alpha rooms (Leg day). Shortly into my workout, Steven Adams and Santi Aldama from the Grizzlies team came into the room with their trainer and started working out in the squat racks next to me. I suppose being right by the Timberwolves area, it made sense. Had a great leg day though. I work downtown, in the skyway system, so I will definitely be getting a workout here on the rare occasions that I go into the office.
