Zachary Nesbitt a month agoThe best gym I’ve ever been to. Their personal trainers are good and everyone is very sweet and nice. If you need to talk to anyone they will hear you out!! I recommend
John Smithey 2 months agoI recently visited Crunch Fitness on Creedmoor Road, and as someone new to the area, I really didn’t know what to expect. I’m happy to say the experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and energetic. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service I received during my tour. The young man who showed me around was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain the different membership tiers and all the benefits that come with each option. He answered all of my questions without any pressure and made the entire process easy to understand. It’s refreshing to see that level of customer service, especially when making a decision like joining a gym. Based on this experience alone, I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great fitness environment with a friendly and helpful staff.
Leo Schwartz 3 weeks agoNice gym nothing fancy. Could use a remodel its looking a bit dated. Other than that staff is fine and equipment is functional when working. Offer more yoga classes. Its odd to only have four available at the most inconvenient times
strikezilla01 a month agoBe mindful if you choose this location since they have no issues making significant policy changes without warning or notification as well as charge a lot more money for less quality and availability. I have been a member of Crunch for over two years. I originally joined while living in Oregon and decided to transfer my membership when I moved to North Carolina. I was a bit disappointed when the fee was nearly double as to what I was paying in Oregon, but I stuck with it since I had nothing truly negative to say at the time. I do now. Plenty. Certainly since it's much easier to collectively express overall frustration when a business begins to follow a stacking set of bad practices and a penalty for trying to leave. General negatives include stations and machines constantly being out of service for multiple days, if not weeks. Considering they do not have duplicates, you will be removing that exercise out of your routine for a while. Dumbbells and racks will have broken parts or pieces falling off. Some stations and machines will have worn out padding that can be uncomfortable or straight up cause damage to your body. Floor padding will have bumps and bubbles large enough to cause a safety hazard as well. Additionally, there are a few trainers (not the majority but you know who you are) that do not encourage their clients to clean stations or machines after using them. For clarity, I actually have their highest tier membership which allows me to use other Crunch gyms. Back in March 2025, I ended up revisiting the original location I signed up at in Oregon for a few days. The place was still really well maintained and none of their equipment was broken or unavailable. They also had far more stations and machines (duplicates and variety) compared to Creedmoor while their memberships were still half the price. It's relevant as to why a franchise will always be defined by their individual owner and the management they employ. I looked past a lot of this simply because I understand gyms are not easy to maintain but when the monthly cost is $40+ and none of it seems to be adding to the conditions, then you really begin to question how things are organized. Having lived in 7 different states, paying for memberships at cheap/public to expensive/private gyms, and being someone who has taken off 4 weeks total from the gym in 5 years... the cost is simply not justifiable. On a more personal note, and what sparked this review for me, is their brand "new policy" of charging you an additional second month when you try to leave. In my specific case, I am relocating to another country that does not have a Crunch location. It's not like I am going to the brand new Planet Fitness or trying a similar priced competitor with better facilities. Instead, I was informed that they "recently decided" to force you to pay an another full month on top of the 27 days I have remaining after renewing 3 days previously. I can only imagine their reasons for doing this and I will let others speculate as to why. For what it is worth, I am also on a Month-to-Month plan, so my ability to leave should not be this gated. Regardless, when I told them I needed to cancel they wanted me to legally accept their terms and conditions to charge me another $40+ despite not asking me why I was leaving nor realizing that I did not have a reason to publicly complain until they gave me one. It's unfortunate that everything up until this point did not frustrate me enough to make a negative review, and had there been a Crunch location in the country of my relocation I would have just kept my membership, but I suppose they really need the money more than their reputation.
Myran Hairston 2 months agoI’ve been training at this gym for a while now and it’s been a solid experience overall. The equipment is well-maintained, there’s plenty of space even during busy hours, and the atmosphere stays focused without feeling intimidating. What I like most is the consistency — it’s clean, the machines actually work, and I don’t have to wait forever to get a workout in. The staff is professional and keeps things running smoothly, which makes a difference. If you’re serious about getting in shape and want a place where you can come in, put in work, and leave without any hassle, this gym gets the job done.
