The Athletic Cos. Italian Village

I visited this gym today for a day pass as I'm trying out all of the local spots and want to find the best value for me. All in all the Athletic Cos. was just okay in my opinion. The selection of equipment was what I would call "fine". The first floor is dedicated mainly to free weights with a few free motion machines and a turf lane for sled drags and similar activities. The first floor also has locker rooms which are adequate but nothing spectacular. The second floor has primarily machines and cardio. The cardio equipment was actually pretty good if thats your thing. All in all I would say that this gym is overall one notch above a planet fitness but nothing to go out of your way for. TLDR: Slightly better than a Planet Fitness 6/10

Super friendly and accommodating staff! They insisted I try the gym before purchasing a week pass. If you wanna use the showers bring your own towel!

I loved this place for the pool over the summer and I took some classes too, which were ok. But I’m confused why they don’t have wipes or clean the equipment used in classes?! Using a dirty rolled up mat after so many people before is unacceptable, and they didn’t have anything to clean it after I was done. Not trying to get an infection from a dirty gym.

With locations in Italian Village and Harrison West (and even more opening up soon), The Athletic Cos. gyms offer a great, and convenient, workout experience. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are always kept clean. Whether you’re into cardio, weightlifting, or functional training, you’ll find what you need. The variety of machines and free weights ensures that your workouts are diverse and effective. However, adding a curl bar would make the experience even better. Also, the Harrison West location could benefit from adding a dip bar. Currently, Harrison West is my go to location since it's close to where I work, but on days when I'd like to do dip exercises, I have to trek over to their Italian Village location which has two sets of dip bars. It would be nice to have at least one set at Harrison West. Overall, The Athletic Cos. provides a great gym experience. The combination of friendly staff, clean facilities, and a wide range of equipment makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking to improve their fitness. With a few minor additions, like a curl bar and a dip bar at every facility, it would be the perfect gym. I highly recommend checking out The Athletic Cos. if you’re in search of a new fitness home.

Very nice gym that generously offers day passes. All positive experiences with staff and other members. I did not feel uncomfortable for a second as someone who is not a regular. Great place to workout if you travel to or live in Columbus.
