Awesome gym! Has an incredible blend of old school feel with high quality competition powerlifting equipment (20KG Rogue Ohio Power Bars, combo racks, calibrated KG plates, power racks, Texas DL/Squat bars, SSBs, multigrip bars, bands, Rhino belt squat, lots of machines, etc). Even has high quality cardio equipment (assault runner, echo bike, stair stepper). Perfect for powerlifters, bodybuilders, and athletes. The best part for me too is how convenient it is to get a day pass when I’m in town. You pay through the website and your phone acts as a key fob to be able to open the door through the app once you purchase your day pass/membership, so you’re able to drop in for a day pass super early on holidays when it’s not staffed. Highly recommend to anybody living in the Milwaukee area or those traveling through Milwaukee in need of a drop in session.

If you’re a powerlifter and love an old school feel, you’ve got to go to Midwest. It’s got a great atmosphere and has everything a powerlifter needs. The atmosphere is great. The other people that lift there are awesome. If you get there at the right time and there are people there, it’s surely to be a great time. It’s mostly service for yourself after you pay online, but you have any questions, it’s more than likely to get answered in about 20-30 minutes. Highly recommend going here over a commercial gym if you’re a serious lifter. Not to mention that almost all the equipment is competition grade.

Wonderful gym. Everything you need to get after it. Everyone there is about it. Guest pass situation is affordable and not too tricky to figure out. I’ll be back the next time I’m in MKE for sure. The wac and golds are a miss, Midwest power is the place to go.

I live in Hawaii and travel a lot for work but when I’m in Milwaukee, this is the gym I go to. It’s a smaller gym but they have great equipment especially for power lifters. The people who train there are great as well. All good and positive vibes every time I been there. I also love accessible it is because you can go into the gym by using a code and not having the staff to be there. For someone as busy as me, I just wanna get in and get out. Speaking of staff, I’ve had the opportunity of meeting the owner. He’s very professional and friendly. He’s also a competitive power lifter and knows his stuff! You can tell that he really thought about what was needed for powerlifters in the Milwaukee area. I believe people who run businesses should also be well in the know or have experience in the industry personally for themselves about the business they run and he is just that. I’m definitely coming back.

If you are looking for a gym with top quality equipment as well as a supportive group of people to train with I would highly recommend Midwest. Not only are you getting the best equipment around but you are getting a community that is supportive and motivational. Even if you are new to lifting, the people there will take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and welcomed at the gym. I can not say enough good things about this gym. Cooper, the owner, is also very active in making sure the members are feeling welcomed as well!
