A Sharon 6 months agoI love this gym!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The equipment is well maintained and updated on a consistent bases. If anything breaks they fix it in a timely manner.(no more than a week) If you like to do squats or deadlifts, the gym has a total of 9 squat racks with weightlifting platforms. They have a spacious area for aerobics, stretching, and calisthenic exercises. The gym is excessively clean. During business hours there is someone on the floor maintaining a clean environment. The locker rooms are always clean with plenty of fresh towels. If you love cardio they have a plethora of treadmills, bikes, stair climbs, and rowing machines. There is no shortage of dumbbells and kettlebells. They even have free zero gravity massage chairs!
Joy Sheppard 4 months agoThe Best Kept Secret at Fitness SF (Soma)- A Review for Max Rosenfeld. Listen, if you want results, Max is your guy, assuming you can actually snag a spot on his calendar! He’s currently booked out with a full-blown cult following, and after training with him, I totally get why people are obsessed. As an IFBB Pro-Athlete who has been competing on and off for a decade, I’m what you’d call "particular" about who I trust with my health. I’ve had a 1:1 trainer since I was 18, and now at 44, I don’t have time for fluff or BS. I need deep knowledge in anatomy, hypertrophy, form, punctuality, and someone who is actually a cool human to be around. When I first met Max, I was in a very dark place. Between navigating a separation and the single-mom life, I was a malnourished 105 lbs and seriously atrophied. I didn’t just need a trainer; I needed an intervention! Max didn’t just help me find my baseline; he helped me find my fire again. He has this "wealth of experience" thing down to a science and he knows exactly how to push me to the limit without actually breaking me (because at 44, "recovery" hits a little different). He’s basically a life coach and high level personal trainer in one. On the days when my inner critic is screaming louder than my pre-workout, Max is there to remind me of my potential. I never thought I’d be stepping back on stage after the hurdles life threw at me, but here we are: 7 weeks out and feeling like a machine again. Max is the best-kept secret at Fitness SF. Thank you Max!
Roxie Corrigan 2 months agoI have been working with Aria for about 5 months now, and when I started I barely knew how to use or lift a barbell and all these months later I am now able to pull some serious weight. Not only has she helped guide me in the gym, she has also helped me gain so much more self confidence outside of it. I have found such an incredible mentor and friend in Aria. I really love working with her and hope to continue well into the future. The gym itself is fantastic, all of the staff from the front desk to management are so friendly and they really take the chance to get to know their members, which I love! The space is so clean, and it's massive! Thanks Fitness SF!
Zach Hoisington 4 months agoThis is the greatest gym of all time. Elite equipment selection (who else u know got 1lb eleiko plates? Also we got the new hammer strength pendulum X squat like the month it dropped), super nice staff, ton of space, amenities, anything you could ask for. Reasonably priced too. If you’re serious about fitness GET IN HERE‼️‼️
Jo V a year agoNice gym, very large with a lot of different sections, weight and machines. I like the layout and that it is big. The staff is also very friendly and they have a nice bike storage area. The second section of the gym (with the stretch area/astro grass) can be a bit hot on warm days, I don’t think they have AC in there just a bunch of fans and it can get stinky and stuffy in there. The location can be a bit dodgy, with a lot of drug addicts in the area and there is also some tents close by under the bridge, but it’s fine if you drive there. Nice large bathroom and there is also plenty of parking available. Gym gets busy at about 4is - 7ish.
