The founder of this gym is chiropractor Milton O’Brien who also has a stake in selling the “MIRACLE MACHINE!” called Softwave Therapy (trademarked). Please note that chiropractors are not real doctors, it’s not real medicine, and Softwave Therapy has poor evidence for any benefit unless you have kidney stones. Per Wikipedia: “There is no compelling evidence that either primary or maintenance chiropractic adjustment is effective for any symptoms or diseases, including low back pain. A 2011 critical evaluation of 45 systematic reviews concluded that the data included in the study "fail[ed] to demonstrate convincingly that spinal manipulation is an effective intervention for any condition." Conclusions about cost-effectiveness are limited by low-quality studies, uncertainty about efficacy, and insufficient evidence.” Consider this before buying any services or “Softwave Therapy”, another service with dubious benefits and little evidence to support claims made. I’m rating 2 stars since this place had decent equipment

I mostly joined this gym bc i wanted to try out the different workout classes and I have to highlight Faith’s yoga classes! Her Sunday morning classes are the best especially bc the emphasis on form. I’ve tried the other yoga classes and they do NOT compare and other ppl in the class I’ve spoken to also agree. I’ll renew my membership just so I can attend her classes

For a short time, I lived in SF and tried out four or five gyms looking for the right fit. Live Fit Gym (and its staff) was an incredible find. The gym was small but very well appointed—with new, comprehensive equipment plus large and small studio spaces for classes and private stretching—and very clean. The energy was the right mix of relaxed and focused, with all types of serious fitness folks. I always felt calm when arriving and motivated while working out. In addition, the staff was very attentive, helpful, and always remembered me when I came in. For those looking for additional services, they also offer acupuncture and massage therapy. I would 100% recommend this gym to anyone serious about their physical health and wellness and looking for a chill environment to work out and connect. One of my best gym experiences to date!

Love going to this gym— Castro location is spacious and clean with plenty of equipment options to work with. Eric and Brianna were excellent in showing me around and getting me set up with a membership. Great classes too! Shoutout to CJ for his Sunday class.

Awesome gym. Equipment and machines are in excellent condition. The staff is very nice and friendly. Classes and trainers are top notch. Shout out to JR (boxing class).
