I wish I could give this place 5 stars. The gym area is well maintained, equipment is always clean, equipment is almost never out of service. In addition, the staff is friendly and helpful! The am crew especially are always super chill! Where this gym unfortunately lacks is the locker room and wet areas. The locker room floor is usually sticky and is in need of a good scrubbing. The showers are some of the worst I’ve seen in a gym. Dead skin, soap scum, and hair all over the floors and walls. This gym could really benefit from a dedicated shower + locker room deep clean at least once a week. Even with shower slides it’s almost not worth it to shower there before I leave for school in the mornings. If I’m noticing how poorly maintained the showers are I can only imagine how bad the ceilings in the showers are, but it’s really hard to tell because they’re painted black. Overall I think this gym is awesome, staff is really chill, the equipment is top tier, it’s never TOO crowded, but the showers and locker room really need deep cleaning. For $50 a month (which I assumed was the facility fee?) you really expect more to be done about the cleanliness.

This gym is 5/5 stars from me. I am visiting from out of town and have been dying for a better gym in the area. I’m so happy they opened up this brand new golds gym. For someone who usually goes to a body building gym this facility matches the equipment, cleanliness and overall vibe that I’m looking for when picking a gym. All of the equipment is new and there are even machines you won’t find at a commercial gym like 24 hr or crunch. One of my favorite things this gym has it the booty builder room. Bathrooms are also kept super clean. Staff is really nice as well.

Absolutely love Gold's Gym. The equipment is all new and the gym is always clean and well maintained. Great atmosphere, tons of machines and weights, and everything feels updated and high quality. Staff is friendly, and it’s a great place to train whether you’re serious about fitness or just getting started. Definitely one of the best gyms I’ve been to.

I’ve been coming to Gold’s Gym San Jose (Hamilton) for a while now, and while the equipment and overall facility are great, I have to give a special shoutout to Steve at the front desk. Steve is honestly a big part of why I enjoy coming here. His energy, positivity, and the way he greets people every day really set the tone for the entire workout. It’s not just a quick “hello” — he genuinely makes you feel welcome and motivated the moment you walk in. The rest of the staff is also solid and contributes to a great environment, but Steve stands out as a pinnacle reason I keep coming back. That kind of consistency and attitude makes a difference. Great gym, great people, and an even better vibe.

Always friendly staff whenever I come in, and the gym is consistently clean and well-maintained. The equipment is in great condition, and there’s a good variety without feeling overcrowded. The atmosphere is motivating and welcoming, which makes it easy to stay consistent. This has been my favorite gym in all of San Jose.
