Alright cousins, today we’re talking 24 Hour Fitness. Overall, I would call it a fair experience. The facility definitely shows its age a bit, but that was somewhat expected walking in. Nothing overly fancy or polished, but it has the core essentials you need to get your workout done. Sometimes that’s really what matters. The equipment selection covered the basics well enough. Plenty of machines, free weights, and space to move around. Not the newest setup in the world, but definitely functional. If you’re serious about getting your reps in, you can absolutely make it work here. Now one thing I noticed right away, cousins, the gym culture felt a little different for me. I’m used to gyms where people are a bit more outwardly friendly, nods, quick conversations, that kind of thing. Here it felt more like everybody came in, locked in, handled their business, and kept it moving. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a different vibe than I’m used to. I’ll give it some more time before making a final call on that. I will say though, it was also one of the more colorful gyms I’ve visited, if you get what I’m putting down. The energy felt lively and diverse, which always makes a gym environment interesting. Now cousins, we have to talk about the name versus the hours, because this part had me scratching my head a little. Some locations are truly 24 hours, while others open at 5 AM. When the brand is literally called 24 Hour Fitness, that can feel a bit confusing and slightly misleading. But clearly the model is working for them, so who am I to disrupt their business strategy. The bathrooms and locker areas could use a little attention. Nothing alarming, just some polishing and maintenance that would help elevate the overall experience. Now let’s break it down Doc Kyle style. Equipment and workout functionality: 8 out of 10 Everything you need to get the job done. Facility condition: 6.5 out of 10 A bit older and could use some updates. Gym culture and vibe: 7 out of 10 More focused and independent than social. Pricing and location: 8 out of 10 Strong positives that make it worth considering. Overall experience: solid 7 out of 10. For the price and location, I’m definitely considering it as an option. At the end of the day, the gym does what a gym is supposed to do, it lets you come in, put the work in, and leave a little stronger than when you arrived. Cousins know the rule, Michelin curious palate, everyday people honesty.

This gym is awful and ownership / management should truly be ashamed. The response to other reviews say they care but they clearly do not otherwise they would do something. Equipment is always broken. Two of the ellipticals were sent off for repair over six months ago, I’m guessing they are never coming back. One of the remaining was left with an out of order sign that a piece was ordered in October. The incline was broken but the machine still ‘worked’. Believe it or not, no…that matters. It’s broken. After 6 months they just took the sign down but the machine is still broken. Great job guys. Meanwhile, only one machine works and we all vie for it. Do they know? Maybe. Do they care? No. The inclines don’t work. The resistance levels don’t work. They give errors. Same with the treadmills. Every morning you watch people come in and hop from machine to machine looking for a working one. Imagine if the staff actually routinely checked the equipment. And if they actually fixed it when we reported it was broken. Don’t even get me started on the weight room highlight was when all 5 cable me were down at the same time. And money clearly isn’t the issue. They invested who knows how much in a recover room I’m sure no one uses. And the staff will pull the cleaning solution so there is none available rather than bringing a fresh ones. Guess cleanliness is also not important. It’s a miracle if there are even paper towels. And what a stench in the bathrooms. Disgusting

This gym is atrocious. All the equipment is dirty, the trash can are over filled the bathrooms dirty. This gym reminds me of the Quincy one that finally closed down. This is my 4th time at the location I thought it was just a bad day I came but now for the 4th time come on. Vasa needs to take over this location. The gym manager sits at the front desk the whole time harassing the females. I over heard him commenting inappropriately about a female at the squat racks behind the desk. One day I asked him something about refilling the paper towels and he basically blew me off this was the only time I’ve ever tried to speak to him. Lastly nearly every treadmill and elliptical is broken or has something wrong with it. Do Better 24!!

I gave a 3 star for the staff (friendly) & the equipment. However, if the locker rooms as well as the equipment were cleaner, I would have given a 5 star. Cleanliness is kind of a big thing when you are working out & using the locker room to change clothing. I dont have pictures cause I didnt feel comfortable taking pictures while in the locker room or around other people working out.

My fiance and I have been going to this gym for over a year now and it’s trash! We used to utilize this gym for various different muscle groups but without fail, more and more machines are broken. The locker rooms are disgusting, paper towels or cleaning spray usually one or the other if not both are empty. My account is set up for automatic payments but on three occasions I’ve been double billed. To be fair when I brought it up to management the waived my monthly fees until we were even but that’s because I caught their mistake not the other way around. Then the nail in the coffin for me anyways is the attitude of the female staff that’s usually working the closing shift. If the gym closes at 9 pm, the yelling starts at 15 til “Let’s go!!!” By 9:01 pm she walks into both male and female locker rooms to yell at paying customers that she’s setting the alarm and locking the doors and proceeds to do just that. I just watched her set the alarm and lock the outside of the doors with 3 people still inside. She gets in her car and storms outta there like a bat out of hell. 9:04pm! I feel like there’s a huge lack of professionalism when it comes to the female night staff. So much so that I’ll be transferring gyms tomorrow. Enough is enough!
