angeles olivares 4 months agoCame to GND Society for a kettlebell clinic with Coach Davion and had an amazing experience. I’ve been training with Davion for about a year now, and he is an incredible coach. I’ve seen real results, improved strength, and learned proper form because of him. He’s motivating, knowledgeable, and truly cares about his clients. Even though I don’t currently train at GND, it’s a beautiful gym and I would love to join once my schedule and routine allow. Highly recommend Coach Davion!
David Melo Ruiz 4 months agoI’ve been training with Coach Davion for 2 years and 3 months, and the results speak for themselves. In my first 5 months, I lost 60 pounds under his guidance. His programming, accountability, and attention to detail make all the difference. He pushes you to be better while making sure you’re doing things the right way. I even followed him to GND, where I now take his 5am classes every Tuesday and Thursday. That alone says how much I believe in his coaching. What really stands out is that I trusted him to train my nephew over the summer. Seeing how patient, motivating, and intentional he was confirmed that he’s not just a great trainer, but a great mentor. If you’re serious about results and want someone who truly cares about your progress, Coach Davion is the one.
Lisa Villani-Gale 5 months agoThis gym is the BEST BEST BEST. I feel ridiculously lucky that it is in my neighborhood, because I would travel across the city if I had to. I'm a powerlifter, and they have absolutely everything I need. Even better: it is absolutely a welcoming space for everyone, no matter what your approach to fitness is. They have equipment for powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, HYROX, strongman, and general strength/fitness athletes. They also offer a big variety of classes so you can try new things if you're curious! They keep the gym extremely clean, and make sure the equipment is always put away so you can find what you need. There is always a friendly face in the gym, but I almost never have to wait for the equipment I need. I love that members have 24 hour access so I can always pop in whenever I need to. I've been training with Riley for nearly two years. I cannot express how lucky I feel to have her as my coach. She's a very accomplished competitor herself, but more importantly she is knowledgeable, kind, hard working, and just plain fun to train with. In an industry that can be very toxic at times, she makes our community better. All of the coaches, staff, and the owners of GND are absolutely top notch! They set the bar very very high.
Victoria Nguyen 4 months agoGND is my happy place! And this is coming from someone with a fairly limited strength background. I started working with Riley last year to prepare for a HYROX race. Prior to that I had never touched a barbell, sled, or ski erg in my life. Riley has been incredibly positive and supportive. She provides a clear roadmap for what we're trying to accomplish, explains the "why" behind her programming, and makes adjustments based on my feedback. Her workouts strike the right balance between being challenging enough to stimulate growth but manageable enough to help me build confidence and stay motivated. Beyond that, Riley is just a fun, inspiring human! The gym itself is a very welcoming environment. Multiple times other staff or members have helped me find and set up equipment. The gym feels lively, but not overcrowded. There is a true sense of community - there are always classes, clinics, and other events going on. Strength training was something I previously tolerated, but now coming to GND is truly the highlight of my week. Very grateful to Riley and the rest of the team!
Allison Madel 3 months agoDropped in for a Brunch & Barbells event with some of my rugby teammates and we had a blast! We’re all at varying levels of experience with lifting but were expertly coached and guided through the session while anyone who wanted to go off on their own was welcome to do so. The space is amazing and there’s tons of equipment available. We are hoping our spring match schedule will allow for us to come back soon!
