I didn't want to leave. The gym has everything I need for lifting and general cardio. It is clean and the staff has always been nice to me. Because of all that, I put up with the annual increases (over 27% in 4 years) and an odd guest policy interaction. My wife left the gym 9 months or so ago - she wanted to focus more on classes, which are a weak point at LSF. When she recently decided to return to LSF, the team quoted her significantly more than me -- despite her previous tenure and mine. To me, it felt unfair. I approached them and they confirmed this was accurate to their pricing policy. In fairness -- LSF can price however they want. This is a business policy they choose, but here are two key things that stand out for me: 1. It's interesting how a gym finding their way back to profitability will choose to lose two members over less than $400 per YEAR. 2. It is equally fascinating how a consumer who feels they've experienced unfair treatment will leave over $400 per year for a gym that is $1800 more per year. Everyone has their walk away point. For LSF, it was $400. In my business dealings, I'll continue to help my team consider trade-offs and empower them to make smart business decisions.

Lots of potential with this gym (great track, good machines, not too crowded), but as others have said, the policies can be pretty ridiculous. For example, they offer “childcare” but not on Sunday or Monday, and there are other rules around childcare that make it difficult to utilize. Mind you it’s not a daycare by any means - hospitality staff get called down to watch kids when needed. They probably get 1-2 requests for “childcare” a week, yet they still have zero availability on Sunday or Monday, which were key workout days for our family. John Fitzgerald, who heads operations at LSF IC, was unreasonable and difficult, to say the least. I rarely took classes due to the strict policies about signing up and the high cancellation fees. The gym fees are very high in general. It’s a good gym and would have better membership and attrition if they listened to people’s feedback.

The new gym manager does not know what shes doing. I signed up for the amenities and almost half of them are not available every 2 weeks. Be sure to check all the amenities before signing up.

I love this gym so much. It’s MASSIVE and never super crowded so there are always available machines. The locker rooms are nice and huge and I love taking advantage of the lap pool. They really care for their members and have a full calendar of athletic and social events for members to get to know one another. I haven’t taken advantage of any classes or the spa but I plan to. Love it here!

For a gym that charges close to $200/month most of their amenities are not usable. Cancelled my membership and went to equinox for the same price and better equipments
