I’ve had the chance to experience both Prime Fitness RX on Poydras and Prime Fitness RX on St. Charles, and honestly, this is one of the best gyms in New Orleans. Both locations are absolutely beautiful and super well-designed. The Poydras spot has a powerful, high-energy feel, while the St. Charles location gives you those amazing city views that make working out feel next level. The vibe in both gyms is unmatched—clean, modern, and motivating every time you walk in. The equipment is top-tier. From free weights to advanced EGYM machines, everything is high-quality and built for real results. You can tell they put a lot into making sure members have everything they need, whether you’re just starting or already locked in on your fitness goals. What really makes the difference is the staff. Everyone is professional, welcoming, and always willing to help. They create an environment where you actually want to show up and push yourself. If you’re looking for a gym with amazing energy, beautiful setups, elite machines, and a solid team behind it—Prime Fitness RX is it. Definitely worth it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Prime Fitness RX on Poydras is easily one of the best gyms in New Orleans. The facility is always extremely clean, well organized, and has everything you need for a great workout—from free weights and machines to high-quality equipment and recovery amenities. The atmosphere is motivating but never overcrowded, which makes it easy to stay focused on your fitness goals. A special shout-out to Brandon, the gym supervisor. Brandon does an amazing job managing the gym and making sure everything runs smoothly. He’s always professional, welcoming, and quick to help members if they have questions or need assistance. You can really tell he cares about the members and the overall experience at the gym. If you’re looking for a well-maintained gym with great staff and a positive environment, PFRX Poydras is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Outstanding gym. The facilities are always clean, everything I needed and more, and the 24-hour access makes it easy to stay consistent with my schedule. The staff is exceptionally helpful, and I like that they have two New Orleans locations in secure buildings. Cant recommend enough. Best gym in the area, and I’ll miss my 3 years there during time in New Orleans. Special thanks and mention to Brandon.

Management is conniving. Ive had plenty of premium gym memberships and none of them have operated like this. The GM Brandon completely failed to disclose key information when we signed up. My partner and I signed up as a couple for a promotional rate, under the impression that it was a joint account. It wasn’t. I had no idea about the separate accounts and that I had incurred a past-due balance until I tried to enter the gym and my wristband didn’t work (which is the ONLY way you can enter). A staff member approached me trying to enter and told me NOT to come back. After that I naturally wanted to cancel if I can't access the gym right? They refused because of the past-due balance and continued to charge me for months, even though I could not freely access the gym and a staff member explicitly blocked me. The GM said that "I chose not to use the facility" and continued to threaten with collections. Laughable. This gym will try to collect everything they can and will not work with you at any discretion. GYM REVIEW: 🚨 Yes, the gym has great views of the stadium, clean equipment, and is open 24/7—but that’s it. That’s literally all you’re paying for. The "sauna" is a cheap, personal Amazon-style unit that barely works and takes forever to heat up. In the men’s bathroom, the sauna doesn’t work at all and smells absolutely disgusting with left over stench. My partner visited only 3 times in the 6 months we had the membership just to use the sauna and could not use it. The people that work here are cold, dismissive, and have a weird superiority complex. I understand safety measures and rules but they are aggressive with it. There are signs that end with threats hung all over the gym, for example - "Don't let anyone in the facility or membership will be revoked"- "Put your weights back or your membership will be revoked"- its very odd. Your constantly being monitored through the cameras and they will threaten you at any inconvenience and still make you pay. The equipment is mediocre at best. One free squat rack, one smith machine, and a bunch of basic upper body machines. The equipment is newer and the gym is clean as mentioned but there is nothing for advanced lifting if your into that. It feels more like a high-end apartment gym, not a premium facility worth hundreds per month. The parking situation is not amusing, its limited to 2 hours, before 6pm with validation and during the week only. You also have to pay to have a guest, and they are only admitted when a staff member is present if you can find one. An equinox price point for a gym that has no amenities or classes other than equipment is crazy. If you’re considering paying hundreds per month, go somewhere with a normal contractual agreement, actual amenities, and fair management.

This gym is incredible. Never Crowded, feels like an at home gym with an incredible view. The staff is very kind. Highly recommend this place! It’s like a spa.
