They only have one real dedicated cable machine and one pec deck. Both times I was there one dude was on the cables for more than an hour. Parking situation is shitty and will cost you to use it. Gym has a layout like an MC Escher painting… it’s better than the local hotel gyms and the week pass is a better value than the day of you’re here for more than 3 nights. Staff is exceptionally friendly.

No clue why this gym is only 3.8 stars. They must’ve stepped their game up since receiving complaints. I’m visiting from out of state and the process to workout was seamless. The gym was extremely clean and has everything I needed. A place to comfortably stretch. Plenty of dumbbells, everything was well kept. The bathrooms were sparkling clean and gave spa energy. We almost drove 20 minutes away to a gym with better reviews. Glad we gave Gold’s a try. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The most iconic and impressive gym in downtown Austin! Gold's Gym Austin Downtown is an absolute powerhouse of a fitness facility and one of the best gym experiences the city has to offer. The equipment is extensive, top of the line and always immaculately maintained giving you everything you could possibly need for an outstanding workout every single day. The atmosphere is energizing and motivating with a real sense of community and dedication that pushes you to be your very best every time you walk through the doors. The location in downtown Austin is incredibly convenient and the range of classes, personal training options and amenities is truly impressive. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming and genuinely invested in the success and wellbeing of every member. Gold's Gym Downtown Austin is without question one of the finest fitness destinations in the city!

It's one of the cleanest, most well organized chain gyms I've been to. Everyone puts back their weights, and all the equipment is well maintained. Locker rooms were clean. Had all the standard free weights, cable machines, and weight machines you find in most gyms as well as a stretch area with some kettle bells and medicine balls. I was visiting Austin on vacation and paid $60 for a one week pass. Pretty good deal, I would say.

FINALLY!!! i’ve been going to this gym for years and they finally changed the faucet handles to normal ones instead of those stupid little push handles that shut off immediately. they have these handles and the westlake golds and i’m so happy they finally changed to these i hope all the golds gyms have these. its honestly the little things that have a big impact.
