I’ve been going to this gym long enough now to see multiple changes in management. Each one tries to come in and turn this gym around without any support from the corporate office. It’s been a downhill battle. Every day this gym gets worse. As of now, I’ve counted 12 broken things here. There’s no excuse for it. Many of them have been out of commission for MONTHS! There’s even a room by the front where all the dead equipment goes to die after it’s been broken. I swear the number of machines each month goes down because nobody ever fixes them. The sauna is disgusting and I’m sure is only cleaned once a month. Paper towels and disinfectant are constantly out so you can’t even wipe down machines. The locker room has had locks on some lockers for close to a year now even though they are supposedly “day use only”. The opener who used to be here almost every weekday was amazing. She knew each person by name and now she’s gone. Very sweet lady. I’ve overheard the current manager saying very nasty things about her which is inexcusable coming from a manger. Do better golds.

Golds gym doesn’t care about the customer at all or even its employees. I’ve been a fitness professional for 13 years and in gyms for 25. All they want is your money and they could care less about anything else. The employees do the best w what they’re given but machines are constantly down w no idea if/when they’ll ever work again. Equipment never put up correctly. Feels like walking into a teenage boys bedroom. Over time the spirit of the employees that work there eventually fades bc they know they don’t get any help from corporate. They lose all the best employees bc they never pay them. Only reason I’ve continued to go here is bc the community that I see and feel responsible to help especially for the seniors that rely on the machines that are constantly broken. Shame on you Golds gym

Probably the worst run gym I’ve ever been to. I am not exaggerating when I say these pics were all taken on the same day. I ended up walking around seeing how many out of order signs I could find like it was an Easter egg hunt. You can probably still go in there and the out of order signs will all still be there, no matter what date you are reading this. The WiFi is unusable. The sauna is broken half the time, the refuse to fix anything. Been here for a year and a half and I think it’s finally time to switch. I have asked them many times to fix stuff and this is where we are at now. I went to LA fitness down the road and it’s 10x better so now I will try to bring as many people from golds to LA with me before I cancel my membership out of spite. They either don’t have a manager or they are wildly overpaid because they are never there. Sauna is always broken and is never even very hot anymore, they never fix equipment when it breaks, hours could be better. One thing I will say though is that personal trainer Daniel is dope. They should give him a raise, because he is the only good thing about this place. Don’t go to this gym (unless you want a personal training session with Daniel).

Service is fine, staff was nice. Where I feel this company could do better is is their 30 day cancellation notice. They will bill you and extra month no matter when you cancel. I cant stand money hungry companies who take advantage of people like this. Its only 40 bucks but its complete disrespect for the consumer. No other subscription dos this and if that’s the case they will not have good things for me to say about them either. 👎

Solid classic bodybuilding gym. Kinda rare for a golds. This location has hard to find equipment, equipment gets regularly serviced, lots of cardio machines too. Can get a good workout in even at peak hours. And the employees are awesome. Best golds in Austin for people serious about lifting
