The Best Gym in Austin! First off, this gym is absolutely incredible. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need….machines, bars, weights and specialized sections tailored to different fitness styles. Whether I’m in the mood for powerlifting or focusing on calisthenics, there’s a dedicated area for each. No matter your fitness goals, they've got the gear to help you reach them. Second, the gym is always spotless. The staff works tirelessly to keep the place clean and organized, so it’s always a pleasure to train there. The overall vibe is fantastic. The environment is welcoming, with people bringing their adorable dogs, the atmosphere is friendly and laid back. Plus everyone is respectful, no one leaves weights lying around. Finally, the staff is top notch…… Always polite, respectful and eager to help. As a newcomer to Austin, I had a chance to speak to Hector. He took the time to offer me helpful tips and even pointed me in the right direction for some local spots I was looking for. Overall, you won’t regret signing up here. It’s more than just a gym, it’s a community.

IYKYK. It’s the spot in Austin. Not your air-conditioned gold’s gym type experience. Half is outdoors, half is inside but *open-air* Love coming here to get my sweat on and get some vitamin D, and a tan simultaneously during my workout. (Shirts optional) Immediately improved my winter blues by getting to do this outside daily. I think this is its most unique quality of LiftATX. Fantastic pricing if you can get in at $50/mo. They also waived my initiation fee for military/first responder. Read about why the LiftATX community was started originally— on their website. Would much rather give my money to them than a corporation. Yes, it stays very busy due to the popularity of the place, especially at peak hours, but I’ve never been unable to find an open piece of equipment to complete my workout. If you don’t wanna use the outdoor equipment, then yeah it’s gonna be a lot harder to find an open spot so you may have to wait a few minutes for your turn.

Was there 3 times when visiting ATX, very great place. However, the (poor) adjustable benches in the dumbell area, mostly from "Lifefitness", should be replaced with Rogue, Rep Fitness or similar much better benches.

Was pretty excited to try this gym out as some of my friends said it was good, but was super disappointed with my experience it wasn't for me at all, and likely won't be for anyone that is a lifter akin to my style. Staff was okay. Atmosphere was cool with the flags/wall art, music selection was metal stuff that I like, but the speakers were loud to the point where it was annoying and was hard to hear my friend I was with. Machines, however, were all extremely rusty, in poor shape (broken seatbelt on decline press), didn't feel great (pulldown and row cables felt like I could barely get any ROM), and way too close together (smith machines were like 6 inches apart and was one of the lower quality smiths I've used). There was also like 7 people recording, and while I don't think people making content in the gym is inherently an issue, when its busy and there is so many in such a small space it gets annoying. As for the fact that its outdoors, depending on who you are it could be hit or miss, but as the first outdoor type gym I've been to it was a miss for me (there was literally a bug harassing me while I was doing the terrible pec deck outside lmao). The re-racking rules are really bothersome especially if you're dialed in from pre-workout and just forget, but its there policy so I respected it ofc. Also, they close at 7pm on the weekends which is atrocious if you workout at night. Overall, definitely not worth the $50 monthly (where is that money going because its not to new machines or upkeep?). If you're purely bodybuilding and hypertrophy focused like me Los Campeones or House of Gainz is a much better experience and I would recommend just going there.

A gym that left quite an impression on me. Though it may be considered small by some, I found it to have a fantastic vibe that I would rate 10/10. The selection of machines and weights was great, despite the slightly rustic appearance. However, what really stood out to me was the cleanliness and maintenance of the gym. It was clear that the owners prioritize keeping the space in top condition. The people at the gym were also super friendly, and I noticed that dogs are allowed , which is a nice touch even though I don't personally have one. Additionally, the gym has both indoor and outdoor areas, providing a nice variety of workout environments. While the cardio area was on the small side (just a treadmill and stairs), I still enjoyed every moment of my workout. The music selection was really nice and added to the overall great vibe of the place. Overall, the gym had a garage gym vibe but with amazing decoration, music, and a good parking lot. If you're looking for a gym with a welcoming atmosphere and great equipment, this one is definitely worth checking out.
