My UHC insurance covered my free membership. Luis did a great job getting me enrolled. Clean environment not crowded and variety of machines.

It's clean and cheap and all, but still a gateway gym. This is not the place to be if you're a trained, long-time or high performance athlete. If you are more of a leisure sporty then it works. Typical gym etiquette is not used here. Examples are not knowing about rotating machines with people waiting in long lines (especially with how packed it gets in the afternoons) and talking on the phone in the workout area (even though this is explicitly posted about around the gym). Customer service is outstanding. Front desk support is always ready to help and great at conversing.

It only has 5 Smith machines and a ton of cardio/ other shit I don't see many people use. Always have to wait for a smith machine to open up. They Dont even have an adductor/abductor machine to use. I can pay 95 to go to abp and they have 6 squat racks and an entire climbing gym to use. They also have an adductor/abductor machine. Canceled my membership because I always have to wait for a smith machine. I would come back if they added like 2 more smith machines, got rid of their leg press and hack squat machine because they're both garbage, and added a adductor/abductor machine. Also get a better leg press machine for the love of God there's no squat depth on the one they use it's so bad. Overall gym seems clean but I don't use the bathrooms so who knows. This gym is usually busy and 5 Smith machines is criminal. Also maybe have some more hip thrust machines because people are always using the smith machines for hip thrusting. Not worth the money

By far the worst Planet Fitness I have been to and I travel all over. Nobody at the front desk to greet you and you have to use a freakin walkie talkie for assistance. The kicker though, there is a homeless dude sleeping in the mens locker room on one of the benches. Very classy Planet Fitness!

The Planet Fitness at 1819 S Pleasant Valley Rd. Austin, TX 78741, is filthy, bordering on disgusting, and has so many inoperable machines that I couldn't begin to count them all. This gym also smells awful and has abysmal lighting. Thank god I brought my trusty bottle of spray alcohol, or I would have left within minutes after I arrived. There's not much to say other than what I've already mentioned. I believe the ownership and management of this facility don't care, so I won't bother with any suggestions. I'm leaving an extra star because one staff member said goodbye as I left the facility.
