John Gill 6 months agoI've been going for 3 years and always enjoy it. I started 4 months ago with Drew, the Trainer, He's excellent and I'm getting the results I want. I enjoy using the salt water pool and also the professional free exercise classes, The only complaint is Management. They don't care do resolve any problems and never apologize. I never receive the bonus for Referring Clients, so I suggest if they want a high priced club, I tell them about places that will fit their needs. Just ignore management and the few temperamental front door staff and enjoy your workout!
el cobb 4 months agoI've been a member for 10 plus years. While the club is well maintained and clean, the management is terrible. They continually discontinue and change classes, even ones that are the most popular, without any rhyme or reason. The weight room etiquette is HORRENDOUS and management does nothing about it. People sit on equipment texting and looking a social media with no awareness of those around them waiting. I've brought this to the attention of the management multiple times with zero response. Most gyms post signs about cell phone use while using equipment. Equinox refuses to do so. There is uneven application of a dress code. It appears that men are required to wear shirts, but women can strut around half naked snapping selfies. It's a gym, not a pick up bar. Videos of S&M, women licking their over the knee patent leather boots...REALLY? Time to move on.
Malina Ali 5 months agoSpoke with Lilian from member services. Wanted to explore trying the gym and she was not helpful at all. Everything I asked was responded with a No. I inquired about the monthly membership and the only thing she was interested in is selling the yearly membership. Likely, after the one month, I would’ve signed up for a month but she didn’t have enough sales skills to see the benefit for the gym for a monthly pass. Disappointed a high end gym has this type of person as their membership advisor. Id advise against
Catherine Wang 6 months agoI would like to share some feedback regarding my recent experience at this club. I found the lady in front desk to be quite unprofessional and impolite. When members ask questions, the staff often cannot provide clear or accurate answers. If a question is asked more than once in details, she appear impatient, and at times her attitude—“I told you” including visible eye-rolling—feels disrespectful. This behavior comes across as arrogant and makes me feel unwelcome. I wouldn’t say it’s racist, but it could be perceived that way. Additionally, when I attempted to raise these issues, I was not allowed to speak with a manager. The front desk lady refused to let me escalate the concern, leaving me with no proper channel to report the issue or be heard. This lack of accountability is extremely frustrating. I am currently a member in the club, however, due to this experience, I will not continue with this club again. I hope this review helps any potential members—make an informed decision.
Stan Brewer 3 years agoThis gym has been going downhill for quite a while. Is a very common topic among members who feel management only says what they think customers want to hear. The AC has been out or next to nothing in several areas of the gym for a couple days. This pic was their answer this afternoon, while Dallas' heat index is over 100. One lady was suffering heat exhaustion and had to lay down and be assisted by staff. I was told this morning the AC would be fixed by the afternoon. I was told this afternoon when I arrived the AC was being fixed in the men's locker room at that time. Both statements were not true. Meanwhile they were putting up plenty of effort to set up a pic station with balloons for guests. The pool is so over treated you can smell the chemicals from the hallway, and the air ventilation system has not been working for about a week, so they have to keep the pool area door open to combat the humidity. Saturday I asked to speak to the manager but apparently the front desk is trained to tell customers the manager is not there. The manager was there and eventually came out. If I had a close upscale gym alternative with a lap pool close to my house I would not be a member here. When I ask other members that I know if they have complained to the front desk or management, they reply no, because the experience is that nothing will change.
